Environmental work - put hard plastic items for recycling! (bucket making day)
Every year on 5 June, World Environment Day is celebrated, Finland uses this day for the recycling of hard plastics.
In Finland, plastic food packaging can be recycled in everyday life by leaving it at household waste packaging collection points. According to guidelines, hard plastic items must not be placed into these waste containers. That's why on this day there is an annual hard plastic collection day!
So collect your broken and unnecessary hard plastic products (buckets, boxes, broken toys, etc.) and find your nearest collection point (locations for 2019 here). Before recycling, rinse or wipe the products clean and remove any non-plastic parts, for example metal parts. Recycle unnecessary and broken hard plastic items and give them a new life as recycled plastic products or energy.
