Delivery and return terms

General Online Store

This online web store belongs to Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd (Business ID 2948449-1, VAT ID FI29484491). Prices for products include Finnish VAT. We reserve the right to change prices and postal charges.

Ordering

Products are purchased via the Internet at www.plasticfreepicks.com. Orders are confirmed by e-mail, so to receive an order confirmation, you must provide an e-mail address when ordering. All orders made from our online store will be bound by the current delivery terms below.

After payment has been made, it is not possible to add or remove products from the order or change the delivery method.

Delivery time

Orders will be processed every business day with delivery times varying according to the delivery method (details below). We will notify the customer by email or phone if there are any delays.

Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd is not responsible for the transport companies delivery times or if the order cannot be delivered due to circumstance beyond Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd's control, such as war, natural disaster, export or import ban, authority decision, disruption of public transport, strikes, or any other activity that obstructs or impedes the operation of Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd.

Delivery Methods and costs

Shipping costs include postal and packaging costs. Shipping costs are based on the weight and size of the package and are charged upon purchase of the product. The total shipping costs appear in the checkout basket.

We offer our customers the following delivery methods:

    Small Postal Package within Finland – €4.90

    • Small consignments less than 3 cm thick and weighing less than 2 kg.
    • The shipment is distributed on working days to the mailbox/letter box. If the packet is too large it will be delivered to the nearest post office.
    • Transport time, on average 2-3 business days.
    • If the recipient does not retrieve the shipment from the post office after 7 days, the shipment is returned to the sender. Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd has the right to collect any expenses incurred by the non-collected package from the customer.
    • Delivery by Posti Green.

    Postal package within Finland – 0-2 kg 5,90 € / 2-5 kg 7,90 € / 5-10 kg 9,60 €

    • Pick up from your nearest postal office, Smartpost or a pickup point.
    • Transport time is usually within 1 working day. The package can be picked up after 19 o'clock on the day of arrival.
    • You can track your package progress through the OmaPosti-mobile app.
    • You will receive a notice of arrival when the item is ready to be collected via SMS, email and the OmaPosti-mobile app. In the absence of information (mobile number, e-mail), a paper notification is provided for shipments that can be picked from post offices. For Smartpost, a text message contains a code for opening the parcel locker.
    • The pick-up point works by providing the arrival notice/shipping ID and a personal identity card.
    • At the service point and in the parcel lockers, the package has a holding period of 7 days. The shipment will be returned to the sender if it is not picked up during the 7 day holding period. Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd has the right to collect any expenses incurred by the non-collected package from the customer.
    • Delivery by Posti Green.

    Postal Express Package within Finland – 0-5 kg 10,60 € / 5-10 kg 12,70 € / 10-15 kg 16,70 € / 15-30 kg 20 € / 30-35 kg 23,50 €

    • Express items are delivered usually during the following working day between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. across nearly all of Finland. 
    • The shipment will be delivered to the address indicated on the address label and handed over against a signature. The service includes one delivery attempt. If the delivery attempt fails, a notice of arrival will be left for the recipient, and the item can be collected from the local postal outlet. 
    • At the postal outlet, the package has a holding period of 7 days. The shipment will be returned to the sender if it is not picked up during the 7 day holding period. Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd has the right to collect any expenses incurred by the non-collected package from the customer.
    • Delivery by Posti Green.

    Matkahuolto Parcel within Finland – 0-2 kg 6,40 € / 2-5 kg 7,90 € / 5-10 kg 9,40 € / 10-15 kg 12,80 € / 15-20 kg 14,50 € / 20-30 kg 15,80 € 

    • Parcels are delivered to Matkahuolto service outlets, e.g. Matkahuolto’s parcel locker, K-Market, R-Kiosk or Matkahuolto.
    • Transport time usually 1-3 business days.
    • The parcel can be tracked by using the consignment number: Travel Service Shipment Tracking
    • The recipient receives an arrival notification via SMS when the package is available for pickup.
    • The parcel can be retrieved from the office indicated on the arrival notice. The package is issued against a personal identity card. Your personal identity card can be a driving license, passport or a police issued identity card. If the package is retriever other than the recipient indicated on the Address Card, the package must be accompanied by a proxy in addition to his ID.
    • The package is stored for 7 days, after which the non-retrieved package is returned. Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd has the right to collect any expenses incurred by the non-collected package from the customer.

    Matkahuolto Door to Door Delivery within Finland – 0-5 kg 14,30 € / 5-10 kg 15,60 € / 10-15 kg 18,80 € / 15-20 kg 20,60 € / 20-25 kg 21,80 € / 25-30 kg 23,10 €

    • Door to Door delivery with Matkahuolto: The package is transported to the recipient's desired address.
    • Delivery time usually 1-3 business days.
    • The parcel can be tracked by using the consignment number: Travel Service Shipment Tracking
    • You will be notified of the incoming package via SMS, delivery time can be agreed with Matkahuolto.
    • The package is issued against a personal identity card. Your personal identity card can be a driving license, passport or a police issued identity card. If the package is retriever other than the recipient indicated on the Address Card, the package must be accompanied by a proxy in addition to his ID.

    Within Finland, orders of more than €100 are delivered free of charge.

    Delivery to Europe (Post Parcel Connect and postal package to Baltics) – 9,50€ - 30€

    • Delivery to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania 0-2 kg 9,50€ and 2-10kg 11,50€, transport time usually 1-3 working days
    • Delivery to Sweden and Germany, 0-2 kg 11,50€ and 2-10 kg 13,50€, transport time usually 2-4 working days
    • Delivery to Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland,  0-2 kg 15,00€ and 2-10 kg 18,00€, transport time usually 4-8 business days
    • Delivery to Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (excl. Canary Islands),  0-2 kg 18,00€ and 2-10 kg 21,00€, transport time usually 4-8 business days
    • Finnish Post office (Posti) tracking information can be seen from Item tracking.
    • The parcel will be delivered either to the recipient or to a pickup point used in the destination country. 
    • The holding time of the shipment after the delivery attempt or after arrival is 14 days. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender after 14 days. Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd has the right to collect any expenses incurred by the non-collected package from the customer.
    • The postal service is not responsible for delays caused by customs or delays caused by public authorities.


    Packaging deliveries

    We ship our products in ecological packaging materials. We prefer non-plastic, recycled materials in our shipments, and we reuse packaging from other manufacturers. Because of this, the packaging materials  vary. 

    Return terms and conditions

    According to Finnish Consumer protection law, you have the right to return your purchase by notifying us at the latest within 14 days of receiving the ordered goods. We do not accept returns that have exceeded the 14 day limit.

    If you wish to return your order, you should send a message by email to info@plasticfreepicks.com before the end of the cancellation period to get more detailed return instructions. You must provide your name, address, and information about the order being returned, e.g. Order number and product name. Alternatively, you can use the standard cancellation form provided by the Finnish Ministry of Justice Here. Please keep your return receipt until the refund is granted. It is not enough to leave a package uncollected from the postal service, we do not supply refunds without a return notification.

    The return policy applies only to products in the original unopened/undamaged packaging. If the product does not correspond to the previous, we have the right to deduct from the refund the decrease in value of the original value of the product.

    The following products are not covered by the right of return:

    1. Products that may not be recoverable for reasons of health protection or hygiene (e.g. hygiene and cosmetic products)
    2. Products that are contaminated or have expired
    3. Discounted products

    The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. You are also responsible for the condition of the product after receipt and its shelf life during transport, package and protect the product carefully. To claim a refund, the returned product must be in its original packaging, undamaged and unused.

    Upon receipt and acceptance of the returned product, the refund will be paid within 14 days after receiving the returned product with the same payment method you used to purchase the product. We also refund the delivery of the product. All shipping cost refunds are based on the cheapest delivery method.    

    Product Liability and Indemnity

    If the delivery is incorrect or if you receive a defective product, you must notify us within 7 days via email info@plasticfeepicks.com. We will make arrangements for a replacement to be delivered to you free of charge.

    Change Delivery Terms

    We reserve the right to change our delivery terms. You must consult the current terms of delivery before making your order.

    Applicable law and settlement of disputes

    The contractual relationship between Scandic Plastic-Free Ltd and the customer is governed by Finnish law.

    If a possible disagreement on a trade agreement cannot be resolved by negotiation between the parties, the consumer may refer the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board www.kuluttajariita.fi. Before the referral to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must be in contact with the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services  www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi). The consumer may also refer to the online dispute resolution forum (http://ec.europa.eu/odr) maintained by the European Commission.
